Your adventure with La Galigo kicks off with a crew member greeting you for the transfer from the airport or your Sorong hotel to the harbor between 7:30 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. For those arriving on the day of departure, please make sure your flight lands before 7:30 A.M., so we can get settled and ready for the journey ahead.
After a warm welcome aboard, you’ll have the chance to meet the Cruise Director and our friendly crew. Once you’ve settled into your cabin, we’ll gather for a brief orientation before enjoying lunch. Afterward, you’ll have time to relax and unwind and take in the scenery as we sail toward the clearance point in Waisai.
This afternoon our ‘welcome dive’ is at the nearby island of Saonek Kecil, where the calm waters provide the perfect introduction to your diving experience. After your check-out dive, you’ll have time to get comfortable, settle into your surroundings, and start looking forward to an exciting full day of diving ahead.
Mayhem dive site is a stunning coral garden renowned for its vibrant hard and soft corals. This site is teeming with life, from schools of fusiliers and anthias to occasional sightings of reef sharks and turtles.
After lunch, we head to Citrus Ridge, where you’ll navigate through stunning coral formations and bommies. This site is known for its excellent visibility and colorful coral gardens.
As the day winds down, conclude with a dive at Mangrove Slope, where you’ll explore its brightly colored reef. Look out for nocturnal creatures like cuttlefish and Spanish dancers, as they emerge under the cover of darkness, offering a magical end to an adventurous day.
We start the day at Tamangui Ridge dive site renowned for its incredible variety of marine life and beautiful coral formations. Early morning is the best time to catch the reef as it awakens, with schools of fish, reef sharks, and possibly even some larger pelagics making an appearance. After this refreshing dive, enjoy a hearty breakfast onboard as you prepare for the next adventure.
Following breakfast, we head shore for a trek to the Tamangui Ridge 2, for a different view of the vibrant reef.
The day ends at Wofo to explore its steep wall and the vibrate soft and hard corals. We will end the day with a night dive at Wofo for a chance to see Wobbegongs and octopus.
Our day begins at The Passage, located between Gam and Waigeo, the canyon like dive site is known for its schools of fusiliers and jacks, moray eels, cuttle fish and more.
Later we take on the action-packed Batu Dalum or known as the Five Rocks, where we may see black tip and white tip reef sharks, schools of Barracudas, vibrant colorful corals and sea fans.
To wrap up the day, explore the beautiful Batu Lima or Five Rocks, known for its unique rock formations. rich marine life and a great spot for macro.
Melissa’s Garden Dive Site is undoubtedly the top dive in this area, with a staggering number of coral and fish species packed into this small piece of marine real estate. It gets its name from an amazing hard coral garden situated on a reef between 3 small islands. Its beauty needs to be seen to be believed.
After breakfast we continue to Keruo Channel for a gentle drift dive along its picturesque walls. This site features crystal-clear waters teeming with schools of fusiliers and trevallies, and you might even spot a passing reef shark. The calm conditions make it a perfect opportunity to appreciate the rich marine ecosystem.
One of our other favorite dive spots is Batu Rufus, where a dramatic drop-off extends beyond 40 meters into the deep blue. The views are stunning, especially at around 20 meters, where the stark landscape creates a mesmerizing contrast as you float in the open water. And, of course, no trip to this area is complete without visiting the iconic limestone pinnacles. Piaynemo Lagoon, with its stunning formations, is one of the best places to hike for a view, especially in the late afternoon when the temperature drops.
The My Reef dive site is known always a very fishy dive and never fails to dissapoppoint including barracuda’s, wobbegongs and black tip reef sharks. Our next dive is Manta Sandy a serene dive site where we have the chance to observe majestic manta rays as they visit the cleaning stations in this calm, sandy-bottomed site. It’s an unforgettable experience to watch these graceful giants glide overhead.
In the afternoon, take a break from diving and head out on a trek to Kali Biru where the lush rainforest meets crystal-clear waters. The trek offers breathtaking viewpoints overlooking Raja Ampat’s stunning seascape, a perfect complement to your underwater exploration. It’s a refreshing way to cap off your adventure-packed day in the heart of this tropical paradise.
This evening we celebrate our memorable trip with a rooftop barbeque with time to reminisce of Raja Ampat’s underwater paradise.
Today we bid farewell to Raja Ampat as we arrive in Sorong around 5:00am in plenty of time for a morning flight or if you prefer a leisurely morning. guests are welcome to stay onboard until 11:00am and our crew will be on hand to assist you with transportation to your next destination.

The remote paradise of Raja Ampat lies in the far reaches of eastern Indonesia. So, how do you get there? Your journey begins with an international flight into Indonesia, followed by a domestic flight to Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong (SOQ).
As the largest city and capital of Southwest Papua, Sorong serves as the main gateway for liveaboard dive boats exploring Raja Ampat. Though getting to this secluded paradise requires a bit of extra time and preparation, the rewards are well worth the effort.

Indonesia offers multiple international airports throughout its archipelago. Most international visitors typically arrive via Jakarta or Bali, as both airports provide direct domestic flights to Sorong.

The route explores Central Raja Ampat, centering around the Dampier Strait region, including classic dive areas such as Cape Kri, Sardine Reef, Manta Ridge, Blue Magic, Pigeon Reef, Melissa’s Garden, Castle Rock, and Mioskon.
This itinerary includes around 17–18 dives over the course of the 6 nights, depending on sea conditions and schedule.

You will embark and disembark in Sorong harbour, with transfers included from Sorong airport or your local hotel.

Depending on the day you arrive, we can schedule and organise a pickup and drop-off for you.
If you arrive on the day of departure, then we will collect you from the Airport and head directly to La Galigo, gratis. Please be advised that the latest time your flight can land for both Komodo and Raja Ampat is 09:00, this should ensure that you don’t miss the departure time.
If you arrive in the days before the departure date, on the morning of the day of your trip, one of our drivers and a senior member of the crew will come to collect you at your hotel at no charge extra charge. Please note, that if you arrive the day before the departure, we can assist in arranging transport to take you to your hotel at an extra charge, with Raja Ampat costing $15 and Komodo $10 per car of 4 passengers approximately.
When the trip is over we will liaise with you and our drivers to make sure that you are heading to your next destination on time, be it to the airport or back to your hotel. This service is also included in the listed price for your trip.
Be advised we have a 24-hour no-fly after diving policy onboard, so where possible, guests should book return tickets departing no earlier than 11:00 am onwards or risk missing a dive on the penultimate day.
